Global, Governance, Performance & Risk Lead

What this job involves:

This role is accountable for the monitoring, alignment and adjustments of JLL global performance to the terms, conditions and deliverables agreed in the MSA contract with the client. A key part of the role will be to develop and maintain relationships with the client and relevant stakeholders, receive feedback on MSA issues or risks, governance structures and performance. It involves working closely with various internal stakeholders, including Legal, Finance, Sourcing, Solutions, Platform, and Operations teams, to meet JLL’s business objectives and legal requirements.

The Governance, Performance and Risk Lead must possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication and negotiation skills, commercial acumen and a deep understanding of contractual obligations, risks and legal implications whilst approaching with pragmatism to address any issues.

The role has Executive oversight of governance, performance, risk and compliance functions and be the point of escalation across the Account.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Strategy development:

Collaborate with the Global Account Director, FD and core senior leaders to develop a performance and governance strategy aligned with the account’s overall goals, objectives and commitments to drive profitability of account for JLL.

Become an account SME on the terms of the MSA to provide relevant guidance/understanding and risk mitigation for JLL and the Account, in particular an understanding of the commercial terms of the contract and work with Finance to create an account plan which ensures global alignment across all countries.

Strategically develop and manage the governance structure and process to enable JLL to communicate key risks and opportunities to the client.

Commercial management:

Monitor and analyse financial performance indicators against the commitments of the contract, such as KPI’s, revenue, costs, and profitability. 

Prepare and present reports on commercial risk exposure, mitigation efforts, and emerging trends to senior management and key stakeholders. 

Work closely with the FD and regional finance teams to understand any areas where JLL management fee could be at risk and ensure mitigating actions are taken on a contemporaneous basis to reduce exposure.

Governance and performance:

Oversee the global governance structure, meetings and ensure compliance to the agreed schedules. Work with the assigned team to ensure documents meet requirements and drive continuous improvement, bringing best of JLL to the client.

Oversee the global collation of performance indicators and analysis for reporting including global KPI tracking working with the regional performance team and Regional Directors on strategies to address any actions and continually improve / drive better KPI scores.

MSA compliance:

Ensure adherence to process by JLL and the client for contractual changes and change control and that they are appropriately documented with financial implications understood by all parties.

Risk and compliance:

Provide oversight and global consistency in approach for the risk and compliance team. Be an escalation point for any items that require global involvement or resolution.

Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve the contract management and governance process to increase efficiency, improve engagement, reduce risks, and enhance overall contract performance. Implement best practices and tools to streamline contract lifecycle management.

Business development: Work across the JLL Business to identify new business opportunities and potential markets for expansion for the Account.

Training and Knowledge Sharing:

Provide strategy for best-in-class training and guidance to internal teams on contract-related matters, foster knowledge sharing within the account and JLL to enhance contract management capabilities.
