Global Equities, Technology Analyst

This is a great job for an experienced Equities Analyst that has expertise in Technology.

A bit about the job:

We are looking for an equity analyst to join our Equity team in London to cover companies on a sectoral basis, with experience in technology. In this role, the successful candidate will work closely with fund managers on our global equity, emerging markets and sustainable mandates.

The successful candidate will be part of the Global Equity team of Aviva Investors, where we have a strong focus on ESG. Our global sustainable equity capability seeks to generate ideas predicated on our rigorous bottom-up fundamental analysis that embeds ESG analysis. We generate these ideas in a connected team approach driven by a common investment research language across our equity platform.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Passion for equity investment

  • Previous depth of experience required in equity research within the buyside/sell side

  • Strong analytical skills and abilities in financial modelling and company valuation

  • Previous coverage of technology and track record of stock picking success

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

What you’ll get for this role:

  • Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in

  • Eligibility for annual performance bonus

  • Family friendly parental and carer’s leave

  • Generous holiday entitlement plus bank holidays with the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days

  • Up to 40% discount for Aviva products

  • Brilliant flexible benefits including electric cars

  • Aviva Matching Share Plan and Save As You Earn scheme

  • 21 volunteering hours per year

In this role you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.

Aviva is for everyone:

We’re inclusive and welcome everyone – we want applications from all backgrounds and experiences. Excited but not sure you tick every box? Even if you don’t, we would still encourage you to apply. We also consider all forms of flexible working, including part time and job shares.

We flex locations, hours and working patterns to suit our customers, business, and you. Most of our people are smart working –spending around 50% of their time in our offices every week - combining the benefits of flexibility, with time together with colleagues.
