At Alcoa, you will become an essential part of our purpose: to turn raw potential into real progress. The way we see it, every Alcoan is a work-shaper, team-shaper, idea-shaper & world-shaper.

We are looking for a Global Talent Acquisition Leader to strengthen Alcoa’s talent supply by shaping how we attract and hire talent to support our operations, enable our strategy, and prepare our organization for the future.

Reporting to the Global Organizational Development Director, you will have accountability for Alcoa’s global Talent Acquisition function across our operations and enterprise functions. Leading a geographically dispersed organization through regional and functional TA leaders, you will be accountable for global recruitment performance, organizational capability, and the continued evolution of our Talent Acquisition operating model.

About the Role:

As an experienced TA leader, you will manage a complex function at scale, combining enterprise perspective with operational discipline. With proven experience setting strategy, delivering through others, responding to changing business demands and making difficult prioritization decisions, you will need to ensure consistent execution across different labor markets and operating environments.

Other key accountabilities include:

  • Lead Alcoa’s global Talent Acquisition function, setting strategic direction, performance expectations, governance, and accountability;
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality recruitment outcomes across executive, professional, technical, operational, early-career, and high-volume hiring environments;
  • Translate business priorities, workforce plans, and changing market conditions into practical sourcing strategies, resource plans, and delivery priorities;
  • Build proactive talent pipelines and attraction strategies for critical, scarce, safety-sensitive, remote-location, and hard-to-fill roles;
  • Leverage talent intelligence, workforce insights, labor market trends and emerging technologies, including AI, to anticipate future capability needs, strengthen talent pipelines and inform long-term talent strategies;
  • Connect external hiring with enterprise talent priorities, including internal mobility, succession planning, skills strategies, and future workforce needs;
  • Use data, analytics, market intelligence, technology, and operational reviews to improve hiring quality, speed, pipeline health, candidate experience, and efficiency;
  • Strengthen hiring quality through consistent, inclusive, evidence-based assessment and selection practices aligned with Alcoa’s values and safety expectations; and
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and HR leaders, navigating priorities, risks, resources, trade-offs, and stakeholder expectations with clarity and commercial discipline.

What you can bring to the role:

  • Significant Talent Acquisition leadership experience in large, complex, global and/or geographically dispersed organizations;
  • Proven ability to lead through regional, functional, or business-based TA leaders, building capability, accountability, and consistent delivery;
  • Broad sourcing experience across complex hiring environments, including operational, technical, professional, high-volume, leadership, and executive roles;
  • Strong track record of improving hiring outcomes, recruitment performance, stakeholder experience, and service delivery effectiveness, through robust processes and systems;
  • Ability to manage changing demands, competing priorities, capacity constraints, and complex delivery challenges with sound judgement and commercial discipline;
  • Experience connecting Talent Acquisition with workforce planning, business strategy, future skills, succession planning, and broader talent priorities;
  • A proven track record of using data, metrics, market intelligence, and business insight to guide decisions, influence stakeholders, and improve outcomes; and
  • Strong executive presence, communication, people leadership, and influencing skills within a global matrix environment.
