Job Summary

To support our extraordinary team who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Global Director of Quality & Business Excellence located in US California San Jose America Center.

Reporting to the VP, Operations the Global Director of Quality & Business Excellence role will be Responsible for continuously driving a culture of excellence in the organization, coaching and enabling waste removal activities using lean and six sigma approaches and tools and guiding actions to a sustainable conclusion. .

What a typical day looks like:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance strategies to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

  • Lead Six Sigma initiatives to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and product quality.

  • Oversee and standardize quality processes within RES metal fabrication operations, ensuring adherence to both internal and external customers’ standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize RES manufacturing processes globally.

  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and areas for improvement, leveraging data-driven decision-making.

  • Establish and maintain good relationships with our customers, ensuring compliance with requirements.

  • Foster a culture of business excellence, focusing on improving production output and process standardization.

  • Ensure factory safety protocols are followed, promoting an ergonomic workplace and a safe environment for all employees.

  • Mentor and develop the RES Global quality team, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.

  • Proven experience as a Black Belt in Six Sigma with a successful track record of implementing quality and process improvement initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of welding processes and compliance with relevant industry standards.

  • Knowledge of factory safety practices and ergonomic principles is highly desirable.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make informed recommendations.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, internal and external

The experience we’re looking to add to our team,

  • Bachelor of Science Degree

  • 10 years of experience in a similar position

  • Extensive experience in Six Sigma Black Belt methodologies

  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business.

  • Requires ability to present information to top management

  • Communication skills
