About the Role:

As a Global Director, Digital Media Operations, within a global client team, you will hold responsibility for overseeing the agency’s ad ops, data and campaign operations function for one of Omnicom Media Group’s priority global accounts. Ensuring seamless execution and innovation across digital advertising campaigns. Combining client leadership with expertise in data infrastructure, campaign measurement and technology enablement to deliver industry-leading solutions for one of the agency’s most prestigious clients.

Working within PHD’s global media team, you will build and lead a multidisciplinary team of experts; comprising of global media and data operations professionals, a large offshore function and regional hubs. You will oversee complex client engagements and foster strong partnerships across media, analytics, technology and product teams, both within the agency group and in house client services.

Acting as both a visionary and operational leader, you will ensure the accounts media operations capabilities remain cutting-edge, scalable and aligned with evolving market and privacy landscapes. Tasked with enhancing campaign performance, streamline workflows ensure compliance with industry and brand reputational standards as well as data privacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set the strategic direction for the media operations function
  • Oversee the integration and optimisation of key ad tech platforms to drive data accuracy, efficiency and measurable impact. Prioritise clean data, consistent taxonomy and unified reporting that powers effectiveness modelling and budget/pacing decisions.
  • Partner with digital leadership to formalise the quantification of success in digital transformation and track quarter on quarter improvements.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, scalable data operations solutions
  • Develop and enforce governance frameworks that safeguard data integrity and client trust. You will own global governance for brand safety and reputation, responsible marketing and best practice media activation standards across paid media, retailer and in the future influencer.
  • Drive adoption of best practices, automation and innovative technologies to optimise workflows
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) and uphold best practices in brand safety and data governance
  • Lead and empower a high-performing global and regional media operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation and cross-functional collaboration
  • Drive innovation and thought leadership to improve workflow design, automation and scalable operational solutions. Collaborating with multi-discipline agency and client teams to design and implement business intelligence infrastructure that creates competitive advantage.
  • Stay ahead of emerging platforms, trends and regulatory changes and proactively adjust strategies accordingly
  • Contribute to the agency’s point of view on emerging trends (e.g. AI, privacy, automation)
  • Drive internal knowledge-sharing and capability-building across the account, helping teams work more effectively with Media Operations

About You:

  • You display a proven track record in a senior role within media operations, digital media and/or ad tech with demonstrated success leading transformation, innovation and operational change across organisations.
  • You are confident in managing large-scale ad operations teams and complex digital campaigns.
  • You have strong leadership and people management skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • You have built a deep understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, ad verification tools and data privacy regulations.
  • You stay informed about emerging technologies, including AI and are open to exploring how automation and AI tools can enhance creativity, performance and efficiency in media.
  • You have exceptional client relationship management skills with the ability to present to C-level stakeholders.
  • You are an expert in ad-serving technologies and data analytics tools with a grasp of cloud data architecture (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake) and integration methods (APIs, CDPs, DMPs).
  • You are able to simplify and confidently present complex technical concepts that guide data-driven decision-making and foster a culture of agility, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • You have a demonstrated success in managing/influencing senior stakeholders across multiple departments and experienced in building and maintaining strong client relationships.

Flexible Working

We have a hybrid working model (three days in the office, two working remotely), to ensure that we meet the needs of both our people and our business, balancing the benefits of in-person connections with the flexibility of remote working.  Our standard working hours are 9:30 – 17:30, but we offer the ability to flex around core hours of 10:30 – 16:30 to give our people flexibility on how they manage their working day, whether that’s in the office or working remotely. For example, you could start work at 8:30 and finish at 16:30 or start at 10:30 and finish at 18:30.
