Job Description
Exciting opportunity for an Analyst to join our Large Cap DACH team
Job Summary:
As a Large Cap Analyst in our Global Corporate Banking team, you will work with Managing Directors, Executive Directors, Vice Presidents and Associates, assisting them with the development and maintenance of client relationships (business intelligence, financial analysis, marketing and execution). You will have full responsibility for a certain number of internal processes (obtaining approvals in the context of deal executions, highlighting and tracking Corporate Banking opportunities across the client list, review of financial statements, preparation of presentation and keeping an accurate reporting). In addition, you will be responsible to review and analyse client financial statements and assist in the preparation of pitch books/ executions.
The Global Corporate Bank (GCB) manages J.P. Morgan's relationships with large corporations and financial institutions globally to address clients' banking needs and help them to grow. We help our clients meet their objectives and challenges in financing, risk management, working capital, cash management and investments. This role will be part of our Global Corporate Banking team covering DACH region and will be based in Frankfurt.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Corporate Bankers in managing internal aspects of existing client relationships and participating to the development of new relationships
  • Help with industry and credit analysis (review financial statements, listen to and summarize investor presentations, and support credit approval and documentation process)
  • Preparing and maintaining internal senior briefing memos, Balance Sheet Committee memoranda and submissions, relationship reviews, global Firm-wide account plans, global pipeline reporting
  • Participating to the analysis and negotiation of financing requests in coordination with credit, product, legal and compliance teams
  • Coordinating with product and country teams to identify and execute transactions for clients globally across a range of products including capital markets, risk solutions and transaction banking
  • Act as point of contact both internally and for clients for middle office/operations queries where required
  • Assist in the preparation of pitch books and other marketing materials to help generate new revenue
  • The job requires adaptability and a high level of energy, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive under pressure. You should also enjoy working in a collaborative environment. Academic excellence is a must. There's no set degree; but a demonstrated interest in finance and economics is advantageous.


Additional requirements include:

  • Fluency in English and German is required
  • Bachelor's degree or similar with outstanding academic credentials
  • Solid understanding of credit (IG and HY) and financing products
  • Solid understanding of global cash management, markets and asset management solutions
  • Solid understanding of the German corporate landscape
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative and interpretative skills
  • The confidence and initiative to take on early responsibility and manage your own projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven computer skills including PowerPoint (PitchPro) and Excel Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • High level of motivation, dependability, intelligence & a team player, commercial mindset and business acumen
