We’re looking for a Global Compensation Manager to shape the future of Total Rewards at SumUp. This is your chance to design a strategy with global impact, ensuring our 3,000+ SumUppers across the world feel valued, supported, and inspired to do their best work.

As we continue to grow internationally, we need someone who can set a global vision while tailoring solutions to regional needs. You’ll be the architect behind compensation and benefits programs that drive fairness, competitiveness, and transparency. Your work will directly influence how we attract and retain incredible talent across continents.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead and grow a team of 2–3 People Specialists to ensure the successful delivery of key projects and initiatives.
  • Redesign and scale SumUp’s global compensation architecture to meet the needs of a fast-growing company.
  • Define and roll out a globally consistent yet locally adaptable sales compensation structure.
  • Develop a global benefits philosophy that reflects our culture while addressing regional realities.
  • Build governance and processes that ensure ongoing equity and competitiveness.
  • Partner with leaders, People teams, and Finance to deliver executive-level insights that guide strategic decisions.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong track record in compensation system design and implementation.
  • Advanced analytical and modeling skills (Excel or similar).
  • Proven ability to influence and align stakeholders across geographies.
  • Experience leading change in complex, international environments.
  • Fluency in English.

Bonus points if you have

  • Experience in tech or financial services.
  • Knowledge of Workday or similar HRIS.
  • Background in global matrix organizations.
