The Client General Manager, Multinational Clients is a strategic leader at Amex GBT, reporting into the Director Multinational Clients and managing a portfolio of clients.  This role will be the primary point of contact for our clients’ strategic needs, focused on identifying and delivering new opportunities, driving client and traveller satisfaction, creating strategic solutions and promoting Amex GBT’s capabilities with the objective of growing and retaining the client portfolio whilst delivering value to both clients and Amex GBT.  The role is to identify innovative solutions, to have a strong understanding of the client and competitors, and an in-depth knowledge of the travel industry. Working with a high performing team in a collaborative environment, the Client General Manager will ensure that client initiatives are fully delivered, and expectations are exceeded whilst delivering profitable growth to our business.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of your client’s strategic objectives, key drivers of success, organisational culture and business objectives.
  • Create data driven, commercially focused strategic business plans that align with client objectives and contractual commitments, identifying opportunities and recommendations that enhance and optimise the customer experience, deliver value to the client and Amex GBT and maximise client retention
  • Provide guidance to clients in the assessment of goals and strategies to transform and optimise their program.
  • Develop innovative solutions to enhance productivity & improve the traveller/arranger experience during service fulfilment
  • Establish collaborative partnerships with key business constituents (Global Business Consulting, Traveller Care, Global Business Partnerships, Implementations, Product & Technology)
  • Fully own the client P&L, utilising the insights to create a Revenue & Cost Saving Initiative Plan which includes up-selling of Amex GBT products & services, optimisation of supplier revenue and cost saving opportunities to improve revenues and VCT

What We're Looking For:

  • A data driven, commercially focussed individual who understands Amex GBT’s key profitability drivers
  • Proven innovative problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills in addition to an ability to develop and implement growth strategies, create action plans and define objectives
  • Shown success and demonstrable positive results in a client management/project management role
  • The ability to quickly learn, understand, and articulate key product and value proposition knowledge in a variety of contexts
  • Ability to demonstrate tenacity and resilience in managing multiple priorities in a fast paced and dynamic customer facing environment
  • Strong negotiation skills, including the ability to handle objections and achieve mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively build and maintain a comprehensive network, both internally and externally
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • A reputation for trust, integrity and getting things done
