Job Description

We are seeking our first Global Benefits Manager to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and managing Wise’s employee benefits across our global offices. This is a huge opportunity to make sure that our benefits provision is world class. We have ambitious plans for benefits within Wise and are looking for the right person to take these forward and make an impact. 

Who you are:

You will have experience in managing global benefits programmes, looking at the scope of offerings and making improvements to their effectiveness from an employee perspective as ensuring value for money for the business. 

You will be able to work closely with external partners, with experience in vendor management and, if possible, tendering processes. 

You can work collaboratively, communicating and liaising with people from different cultures and backgrounds, bringing your subject matter expertise to support wider projects across the People team and beyond. 


What you’ll do:

Global Benefits Strategy Implementation: Support the design and execution of a comprehensive global benefits strategy that supports our business objectives and enhances employee satisfaction.

Policy Development: Create, refine, and enforce benefits policies that are compliant with local regulations and aligned with global standards.

Vendor Management: Manage relationships with benefits vendors and brokers to ensure optimal service delivery and cost-effectiveness.

Benchmarking and Analysis: Conduct regular benchmarking and analysis to ensure our benefits packages remain competitive in all markets.

Communication and Education: Work with our internal communication team to develop and deliver communication plans to educate employees about their benefits and how to maximise their value.

Collaboration: Work closely across the People team to align benefits programs with our talent goals. Work with finance around budgeting and cost management.


Responsibilities:

Benefits Program Management:

  • Develop, implement, and administer Wise’s global employee benefits programmes, including health, retirement and flex benefits, working closely with People Services, People Tech and Payroll teams.

  • Manage the benefits renewals cycle and keep track of budgets and costs with regards to our core global benefits. 

  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to provide insights to the business and optimise the benefits offerings.

Compliance and Governance:

  • Ensure benefits programs comply with local, regional, and global regulations and standards.

  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to stay abreast of changes in legislation affecting employee benefits.

Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with benefits providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.

  • Evaluate and select benefit vendors to ensure Wise remains competitive in the market.

Communication and Education:

  • Develop and execute communication strategies to educate employees on available benefits and resources.

  • Conduct regular training sessions for HR teams globally to ensure a consistent understanding and administration of benefits.

Employee Support:

  • Act as an escalation contact for employee inquiries related to benefits, ensuring the resolution of any issues beyond the scope of the People Services Team 

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Utilise data analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of benefits programs and recommend improvements.

  • Generate regular reports for management on the utilisation, costs, and performance of benefit plans.

Salary Band - £79,000 - 97,000
