This Position reports to:

As a Global Application Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing main distribution and transfer switch applications - ensuring continuity of supply, selectivity, and safe switching in segments where uptime and resilience are non-negotiable. 

 

In this role, you will focus on main distribution and automatic transfer switch applications, helping customers achieve reliable, selective, and efficient power management across critical installations. You will need a solid understanding of switching logics, selectivity requirements, and coordination in main distribution systems, particularly in segments driven by the energy transition, such as energy storage systems (ESS). 

This role is at the intersection of technical application expertise, market insight, and customer engagement, ensuring our solutions meet the high demands of uptime, selectivity, and resilience in evolving energy applications.

Your responsibilities 

  • Engaging directly with customers to understand their applications, requirements, and challenges. 

  • Analyzing system architectures and operating logics to propose concrete solutions tailored to customer needs. 

  • Delivering application notes, new configurations, and integration guidelines in our application configurator and digital tools. 

  • Collecting market and application insights and transforming them into practical solutions, standards, and knowledge transfer for colleagues and the wider organization. 

  • Driving innovation by identifying new opportunities and configurations that strengthen our product and solution portfolio. 

 

 

Your background 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus). 

  • 5+ years of industrial experience in power distribution applications, ideally with direct involvement in transfer switch systems, selectivity studies, and protection coordination. 

  • Solid understanding of main distribution architectures, logics for automatic transfer, and selectivity design principles. 

  • Experience engaging with customers from technical discussions to solution proposals. 

  • Strong ability to translate customer requirements into structured solutions, documentation, and application tools. 

  • Travel requirement 20-25%

  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English
