Job Description

As a Freelance Senior Project Manager, this role manages delivery across complex healthcare and pharmaceutical work streams, partnering closely with Client Services and cross-functional teams. This position brings clarity to scope, timelines, budgets, resourcing, risks, and client expectations. The role requires fluent German communication to support German-speaking clients, stakeholders, and project teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end project management across multi-work stream healthcare or pharmaceutical projects using tools such as Smartsheet, JIRA, Microsoft Project, or TFS
  • Partner with Client Services, discipline leads, and German-speaking stakeholders to align deliverables, timelines, budgets, and expectations
  • Manage scope, timelines, budgets, forecasting, risks, and resource plans across active client engagements
  • Track project progress and provide clear status reporting, escalation updates, and delivery recommendations to stakeholders
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across strategy, creative, medical, technology, media, and client services to maintain delivery standards

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of project management experience delivering complex client-facing projects in agency, consulting, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environments.
  • Fluent German and English communication skills, including experience managing project updates, risks, or client discussions in German.
  • Demonstrated experience managing scope, budgets, timelines, forecasting, and resource plans across multiple concurrent work streams.
  • Hands-on experience using project management tools such as Smartsheet, JIRA, Microsoft Project, or TFS to manage active delivery.
  • Experience partnering with Client Services and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated client-facing work.
  • Experience applying waterfall and/or agile methodologies across multidisciplinary teams.

Desired:

  • Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.
  • Experience supporting distributed teams across multiple locations or time zones.
  • Experience presenting delivery status, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders or clients.
  • Familiarity with SCRUM methodology and agile delivery practices.
  • Understanding of organisational change management in project delivery environments.
  • Strong financial and operational awareness demonstrated through project or portfolio reporting.
