Do you love the travel industry? Are you a Human Resources professional able to support a very highly respected aviation ground handling company across Canada? Executive Aviation is looking for a Generalist, Team Experience to join our Human Resources team on a 14-month contract!
This position is a transformational people-partner role, playing a key part in creating and building a high-performance culture where employee engagement is a top priority. As a trusted Human Resources Business Partner and resource to managers on all things people related, you will help roll out the strategies and programs that will make Executive Aviation an Employer of Choice within our market. You will provide professional level support in Employee Growth and Development, Performance Management, Recruitment and Selection, Employee and Labour Relations, Policies and Administration and other areas of Human Resources. This remote/hybrid role works closely with the Operations Management teams across Executive Aviation sites, and reports to the Director, People and Culture. Travel to sites is required, with the balance of work performed remotely.

Who are you?
- Positively and effectively communicating, building rapport and relating well to all kinds of people
- Proven, progressive experience in an HR role, ideally in a generalist or business partner capacity
- Consultative, coaching-minded approach, with the credibility to influence and advise leaders at all levels
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
- Well versed and has a strong understanding of federal legislation and labour relations
- Strong critical thinking skills and good ethical judgement
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability
- Experience coaching managers through performance management, employee development and Team Member relations
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Technically savvy with significant experience in MS Office applications including Outlook, TEAMs, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
- Flexibility to travel within Canada
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted HR Business Partner to Operations and site leadership across the network, serving as the go-to resource for advice, coaching and recommendations on all things people related, from Team Member concerns to organizational change.
- Support the growth and development of Team Members by partnering with managers to identify development needs, build career pathways and succession readiness, and connect Team Members with learning and development opportunities.
- Partner with managers on performance, coaching leaders on setting clear expectations and giving effective feedback, and developing performance improvement opportunities and plans that help Team Members succeed.
- Equip and coach managers with the tools, resources and confidence to lead people well, including conversations on performance, attendance, conflict resolution and recognition.
- Use people insights such as turnover, engagement, attendance and exit interview trends to identify themes, recommend proactive solutions and measure the impact of Team Experience programs.
- Champion engagement and culture by supporting local leaders and Team Members through base visits, celebrations and events, and by helping roll out and embed Team Experience programs and projects.
- Support employee and labour relations by guiding managers through Team Member concerns and ensuring practices align with federal legislation, policy and SOPs, escalating as necessary.
- Draft and communicate relevant legislation, policy and SOP changes, create the processes to support their implementation and maintenance, and update provincial and federal contacts as required.
- Partner on the Team Member lifecycle: assist the Team Experience Coordinator with recruitment campaigns, screening and interviews in cooperation with local leadership, and support Team Members through transfers and offboarding with clear, consistent network and local messaging.
- Other duties as assigned.
This is a full-time, remote/hybrid position with approximately 20% travel to sites across Canada.
