This is a remote freelance or hourly role, open to both part-time and full-time contributors depending on region.

What You’ll Do

  • Write trending news and short-form stories (400–800 words)
  • Track emerging storylines across sports, athlete culture, and social media
  • Submit clean, publish-ready copy on deadline
  • Pitch original headlines or story concepts depending on your skill set
  • Collaborate with editors to ensure content quality and discoverability

We’re Looking for Writers Who

  • Have a strong pulse on one or more major sports (NBA, NFL, MLB, etc.)
  • Are experienced in news writing and understand what makes a story clickable
  • Can write multiple stories per week in a fast-paced, trend-focused environment
  • Are fluent in English with excellent grammar
  • Bonus: Familiarity with SEO, WordPress, Trello, and Google Trends
  • Can provide 1–3 relevant writing samples in the sports or celebrity news space
