General Operative – OutputsLocation: Corby, UKPay: £26227.50 Starting rate and then potential to increase on successful completion of Probation period 

Back Shift Allowance: £1.20 per hour

Shift Available:

  • Afternoon Shift: Monday – Thursday (2pm – 10pm), Friday (11:30am – 5pm)
  • Full-time, Permanent | 37.5 hours per week

Join our Outputs at Morgan Advanced Materials, Corby, where we produce ceramic cores primarily for the aerospace sector. We are looking for a General Operative to carry out the precision finishing of raw ceramic products to high-quality standards using sandpaper, files, and NSK drills.


No prior experience? No problem. We offer full training to develop your skills in a high-volume, quality-driven production environment.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Finishing & Quality Control

  • Work with ceramic and wax components to remove die lines and refine surfaces.
  • Follow Standard Process Instructions (SPI) to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Perform visual checks to ensure products meet the required standards.

Production & Efficiency

  • Accurately complete batch/routing cards before moving products to the next stage.
  • Use magnifiers and specialist tools where required.
  • Report issues or defects to maintain production quality.

Safety & Organisation

  • Follow ‘think SAFE’ procedures and report any health and safety concerns.
  • Keep your work area clean and tidy at all times.
  • Be open to job rotation and support across various departments as needed.
Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment (useful but not essential)
