Members of our Amber Foods team are based at every UK Poultry site and are responsible for managing the collection of by-products to prevent waste of any part of the bird.

Here at 2 Sisters Food Group we are proud to be counted amongst the nation's key workers with our relentless work helping to feed Great Britain.  We currently have exciting opportunities for General Operatives to join the team at our  Amber Foods Willand site.

The hours of work and shift patterns are:

4 days working week 

Rotational shift. Start time: 04:55 am till 3:10 pm

  • Wk1 Monday-Thursday
  • Wk2 Wednesday - Saturday
  • Wk3 Monday, Tuesday, Friday Saturday

The rates of pay are: £13.26 

General operative duties on the line as required

  • Maintain Health and Safety standards in accordance with Company Policy and all relevant legislative documentation – actively encouraging health and safety awareness with other operatives maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are adhered to in full – actively encouraging the ‘clean as you go’ philosophy.
  • Ensure work practices minimise the risk of product contamination.
  • Safe use of knives, maintaining health and safety standards
  • Must be able to contribute towards achieving the product targets set for the day by working at a consistent work rate
  • Must be aware of the surrounding environment and the potential hazards that could cause harm to themselves or their peers
  • Ensure that all areas of training in basic food hygiene, health and safety and product quality are adhered to
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and presentation during working hours

Qualifications

  • Ability to use a knife or willing to learn – full training will be provided
  • To work as part of a team and effectively communicate with all colleagues and Management staff
  • Meet all customer requirements & meet the standards expected
  • Thorough and Methodical
  • Self-motivated
  • Able to maintain high personal standards
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to meet tight deadlines
