What you'll be doing;

  • Leading the the South Downs PFI Contract including overseeing a MRF, In-vessel composting facility, 5x Waste transfer stations, 12x Household waste recycling centres and a fleet of HGVs. 

  • Have overall responsibility for leading c170 employees and 7 direct reports. 

  • Full profit and loss responsibility for the South Downs PFI Contract.

  • Ensuring high quality standards of service delivery.

  • Overseeing health and safety, environmental and legal compliance.

  • Being Veolia’s contract representative.

  • Having direct operational responsibility for multiple sites and staff.

  • Maintaining service availability and continued performance of the operational sites and taking indirect responsibility for 1 Energy Recovery Facility.

What we're looking for;

  • Excellent visible leadership and people skills.

  • Experience of leading similar contracts within the waste industry.

  • Experience in leading and managing large operational teams.

  • In depth knowledge of complex PFI contracts or similar.

  • Strong negotiation, influencing and commercial skills.

  • A positive, strategic thinker with the desire to drive continuous improvement.

  • Track record of building strong multi-client relationships and influencing key internal and external stakeholders.
