Wilmington Trust is looking to recruit an intern for the Loan Agency team for a 12 month placement. This internship is aimed at undergraduates enrolled in a sandwich course with a year in industry. The Interns will complete a 12 month internship centered around professional development, career growth and building the necessary skills to succeed. The Interns will participate in projects and department initiatives that accelerate career growth and play an important role in building the future of the Bank. As an Intern, you will gain exposure to other departments through guest speakers and industry leaders and a built-in network with peers as well as priority consideration for full time opportunities throughout the Bank.
Primary Responsibilities:- May complete any or all of the following duties depending on business / departmental requirements:
- Complete routine clerical assignments to include but not limited to data entry, filing, etc.
- Complete routine research and analysis.
- Complete basic spreadsheets, word processing documents, etc.
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
The incumbent works under immediate supervision. The position is for an established time period.
Supervisor/Managerial Responsibilities:Education and Experience Required:High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Education and Experience Preferred:Prior banking/office experience
Good personal computers skills
