About The Role

The GBI Expert External Partnerships and Events Manager spans both internal and external audiences to deliver outstanding Haleon events and meaningful partnerships with key associations for our priority HCPs. Expert events elevate our brand presence and credibility in the industry and support the activation of external communication campaigns focussed on the strategic aims of all the Haleon categories and the Haleon value proposition. Through meaningful partnerships with key associations, this role will drive both trust and credibility for Haleon as well as delivering influential category initiatives to drive sustainable growth and support for our healthcare professionals.

As the GBI Expert External Partnerships and Events Manager you will need to be able to demonstrate meticulous organisation and planning skills and the ability to influence, manage and coordinate the activities of a broad range of contributors with differing levels of seniority and experience.  This role will be a key role within the GBI Expert Marketing team and will require working across all Expert sub teams in the business (Content/Digital/Field), as well as working with the wider cross functional teams across GBI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery of GB OTC and OH annual events 

  • Delivery of Ireland OH events 

  • Leading the partnership programmes and content plans across OTC and OH for GB & Ireland

  • Identifying and executing marketing plans with key associations and KOLs to build the trust and credibility of Haleon as a partner as well as our brands and products

  • Own our relationships with Expert KOLs and plan how we work with KOLs across all channels, including events and media (owned, earnt & paid).

  • Coordination of complex matrix teams made up of local, BU/global, medical and marketing agencies.

  • The planning, coordination and management of events from design through to delivery and after-action review

  • Delivering world-class events through traditional face to face engagement as well as virtual forums.

  • Leveraging the latest in technology and audience engagement to drive impact within the industry

  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to build competitive partnership programmes.

  • Responsible for the event budget and it’s management in line with expectations. Working with procurement on event agency selection to maximise our execution & impact within budget.

  • Working closely with Expert category colleagues and internal functional representatives to drive content through Haleon Health Partner and Haleon Social Media Channels

  • Sharing in wider forums (GBI Total Business/BU/Global) on best practices for event experiences and long-term partnership plans with KOLs and associations

  • Understand internal Healthcare compliance restrictions (ABAC etc) and champion best practice

Metrics

  • Help define the performance metrics to ensure successful achievement of trust- perception objectives

  • Analyse the performance metrics set for events to ensure successful achievement of objectives and continuous improvement

  • Work to drive overall trust metrics of Haleon and our brands through annual tracking survey

  • Look at Haleon’s performance vs competitors

  • Support the development of campaign/event specific KPIs / lead / lag indicators for key comms channels – conferences, journals, digital including social media

Skills / Experience

  • Good understanding and insight of customers, consumers, and experts.

  • Deep understanding of associations and conferences across GB and Ireland for both OTC and OH.

  • Enjoy forward planning and courageous in experimenting with new scientific and creative ideas.

  • Incredibly organised and structured in planning, communication and project management

  • Confidence to influence and challenge multiple stakeholders and external partners and escalate where appropriate.

  • Team orientated and collaborative with a high level of personal accountability for delivery and results.

  • Strong presentation skills with a sharing mindset to collaborate for impact.

The following experience would be advantageous in the role:

  • Brand activation experience

  • Digital activation experience

  • Event management experience

  • Management/execution with key external partners advantageous

  • Proven project management capability of leading complex projects with successful outcomes, within a matrix organisation

  • Complex scheduling and agenda management experience

  • Budget management experience

  • Stakeholder (internal and external) co-ordination
