Game Tools Programmer – 12 Month Contract
We are Media Molecule, a multi-award winning game developer and part of the wider PlayStation Studios group. We have a history of creating outstanding games such as LittleBigPlanet, Tearaway and most recently, the BAFTA Award winning Dreams. It’s a fantastic time to join us as we embark on our next adventure, defining and executing the vision for our next project and settling into our gorgeous, newly refurbished studio in central Guildford. We are now searching for a Game Tools Programmer to join our Game Technology team.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with content teams to identify, define and scope tooling requirements.
- Plan and schedule tasks to deliver on goals for agreed milestones.
- Extend our in-house editor to deliver project-specific functionality.
- Document and communicate feature changes for relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Previous experience implementing tools in commercially-released game(s).
- Excellent C and C++ skills, with ability to write readable and maintainable code.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, pragmatic and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency with 3D mathematics, technical art and/or gameplay code.
