We’re looking for game designers who are hungry to learn, improve their skills and transform into industry professionals. As an intern here at Gram Games, you’ll have the opportunity to hone your already impressive skills alongside some of the brightest minds in the mobile games industry. Over the course of your internship, you’ll not only have the opportunity to learn from all Gram has to offer, but will make a meaningful impact on the production of a whole slew of Gram’s games. Here at Gram, our interns are a full, impactful part of our team. We’re looking for someone who’s driven, determined, a go-getter and someone who’s not afraid to take initiative. We expect all interns to make a real impact, to leave a mark on our studio, and on our games. We are looking for someone who’s a team player, flexible, independent, curious, and willing to explore and dig around for the answers. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Design levels and new mechanics for puzzle games
  • Create content for in-game live events
  • Design and create tools for improving production and live operations
  • Research and benchmark competitors
  • Contribute to KPIs by analysing data and proposing practical designs and solutions
  • Help with design documentation
  • Own feature designs, collaborate with the design team and coordinate different disciplines (Art, UI/UX, Engineering, Economy, Monetisation, Product) to achieve feature goals
  • Support the team to optimise monetization and engagement efforts 

Ideal Candidates:

  • They currently have a right to work in the UK.
  • They can work from the Gram Games London office at least 2 days a week.
  • They have Undergraduate and/or Master’s degrees in Games Design or a closely related field.
  • They have a portfolio of game design/development work that they can showcase.
  • They have experience using game engines, preferably Unity.
  • They have experience with spreadsheet software: Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
  • They have experience in Game Design and plan to build a career on it.
  • They are interested in the F2P business model for mobile games.
  • They are able to express, present and document their ideas clearly by rapid prototyping, wireframing, creating mockups, diagrams and flow charts.
  • They have excellent mathematical, analytical, logical and problem-solving skills.
  • They are open to feedback, collaboration and taking on responsibility. 
  • They are excellent team players, adaptable and open to change .
  • They have excellent communication skills in English.
  • They can maintain a strong communication with the team and all the associated parties.
  • They are focused on the product goals, making data-informed decisions and delivering results.
  • They have a structured working approach tailored to each individual project.
  • They are interested in learning about the latest trends and developments in the industry.
