ABOUT:

GAIN is a creative-led, insight-driven company that blends data, tech and creativity. We believe the best ideas emerge where intelligence and creativity unite, where insight sparks imagination, and where innovation turns possibility into progress.

We are explorers of new frontiers, shaping bold strategies that move people, brands, and businesses forward. Individually and together, our specialist teams provide the vision, data, and confidence brands and organisations need to make braver, more impactful decisions.

Today as GAIN, we work as a united force, using data to fuel creativity, and technology to unlock new possibilities. We don’t just embrace innovation, we engineer it, transforming information into action, and ideas into breakthroughs.

This is where rebel thinking, smart technology and data-driven creativity shape the future.

THE ROLE:

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager who combines a passion for great work with the expertise and confidence to make it happen.

You'll take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of complex digital projects, working closely with clients and our creative, strategic and technical teams to turn ambitious ideas into exceptional outcomes.

From initial brief and scoping through to launch and beyond, you'll bring structure, clarity and momentum to every stage of delivery. You'll be comfortable challenging thinking, solving problems and navigating complexity, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards, on time and within budget.

This is a hands on role for someone who cares as much about the quality of the work as the process behind delivering it.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project delivery and craft

  • Lead the end to end delivery of digital projects, from discovery, scoping and planning through to production, launch and optimisation.
  • Work collaboratively with creative, strategy, design, development and other specialist teams to deliver high quality, effective work.
  • Translate client briefs and business objectives into clear project plans, deliverables, timelines and resource requirements.
  • Apply appropriate project management methodologies, including Agile and hybrid approaches, adapting to the needs of the work.
  • Maintain clear project governance, managing scope, risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies throughout delivery.
  • Champion quality, attention to detail and continuous improvement, ensuring the work meets both client expectations and GAIN's standards.

Client relationships and collaboration

  • Act as a trusted day-to-day delivery partner for clients, building confidence through clear communication, sound judgement and proactive problem solving.
  • Lead project meetings, manage stakeholder expectations and provide clear, timely updates on progress, decisions and risks.
  • Bring together multidisciplinary teams, creating an environment where people can collaborate effectively and produce their best work.
  • Anticipate challenges, remove obstacles and confidently navigate competing priorities without compromising quality.
  • Support and mentor less experienced Project Managers, sharing knowledge and championing delivery best practice.

Commercial and operational management

  • Own project budgets, estimates, schedules and resource plans, ensuring commercially responsible delivery.
  • Develop and manage statements of work, change requests and project documentation, maintaining control of scope and deliverables.
  • Monitor project performance, forecasting, utilisation and profitability, identifying and addressing risks before they affect delivery or margin.
  • Ensure accurate project reporting, time recording and financial tracking using GAIN's delivery systems.
  • Contribute to project reviews, identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and the overall client experience.

How Success Will Be Measured

  • Delivery excellence: Projects consistently delivered to a high standard, meeting agreed objectives, timelines and budgets.
  • Commercial performance: Effective management of project profitability, scope, resource utilisation and financial forecasting.
  • Client confidence: Strong, trusted relationships built through proactive communication, transparency and dependable delivery.
  • Team collaboration: Positive, productive relationships across disciplines, helping teams deliver their best work.
  • Continuous improvement: Tangible contributions to better delivery practices, smarter ways of working and improved project outcomes.

Requirements
  • Ideally 5+ years' experience in a digital, creative or integrated agency, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
  • Broad understanding of digital delivery, including website design and development, digital experiences, content and optimisation.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams simultaneously.
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile and other flexible project management methodologies.
  • Confident developing project plans, estimates, statements of work and managing budgets, scope and commercial performance.
  • Experience working with different web technologies, platforms and development environments.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach, sound judgement and exceptional attention to detail.
  • A genuine interest in creativity, technology and the craft of delivering outstanding digital work.

HOW YOU’LL WORK:

Rebel Thinking: We don’t accept “good enough”. Rebel Thinking is about curiosity with courage. We make it safe to question assumptions, challenge the obvious, and explore smarter, braver ways forward, even when it feels uncomfortable. This is how new ideas, better products, and real breakthroughs happen.

Make It Happen: “We turn intent into momentum.” Making it Happen is about turning ambition in to action. We move fast, learn fast and push through obstacles together. Progress beats perfection, and momentum creates impact.
