Department Overview

The Sales department is responsible for the strategic planning of overall business growth, identifying opportunities with new companies and clients for all Monex currency products (FX Spot, Forwards, Options), as well as maintaining relationships with existing companies and clients, increasing their business revenue, and cross-collaborating with the Introductory Affiliates department wherever possible.

Job Overview

An Executive is responsible for managing sales relationships with existing client accounts as well as prospecting new clients and accounts. They serve as the interface between clients and the Dealing Team, working closely with Compliance and Risk to ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines.

The role holder requires knowledge of all Monex’s products and the regulatory framework under which they operate to successfully market these products to new and existing clients, ensuring the clients’ long-term interests are prioritised with fair and equitable outcomes for both the role holder and the firm.

Key Skills & Experience Required

Previous sales experience within a Business to Business (B2B) role.

  • Experience of working within a regulated financial services firm is highly desirable
  • Proven history of operating at an Associate level within a commercial sales environment (both face-to-face and telephone sales).
  • Able to clearly articulate a full understanding of end-to-end sales processes.
  • Able to demonstrate strong sales techniques (Persuasive, Negotiation & Closing skills).
  • Understanding the purpose of risk management and compliance within a regulated environment.
  • Some knowledge of FX products.
  • Credibility in dealing with clients and colleagues across a complex organisation within different geographies.
  • Leading by example, embodying the culture and values of the Company.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Total revenue generated.
  • New business revenue
  • Number of accounts opened.
  • New business (new accounts traded).
  • Decision Makers Pitched.
  • Activity (calls, leads generated/moved, notes on system, Zoom calls, F2F meetings).
  • Successful management of client relationships as evidenced via their feedback.
  • Providing management information (Breach Reports, Performance Data etc.).
  • Contribution to the culture of the department (Integrity, Respect etc.).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of procedures related to the onboarding of clients.
  • Ability to support other business areas as necessary, including the timely provision of
  • information or documentation and understanding clients’ business intentions with
  • Conducting appropriate client analysis and fact-finding to support the services marketed
  • to the client.
