To support this, we are investing heavily in the LCET (Low Carbon Economy Transition) area and hydrogen and renewables are areas where we are enhancing our footprint. This is a great opportunity for someone who believes in how hydrogen and renewables plays that key role in achieving the NET Zero commitment shared by many.

Duties include:

The successful candidate will be supporting or leading (depending on level of experience) the on-going Functional Safety Assessments (FSA) and audits we carry out for the full safety lifecycle, as well as implementing Functional Safety Management systems and plans.  Their hands-on experience will be utilised in reviewing and developing proof testing procedures for Safety Instrumented Functions (SIFs) as part of the Operation and Maintenance phase of the safety lifecycle.

In addition to these core activities they will carry out HAZOP and SIL Determination studies and the documenting and performing of random hardware reliability calculations; SIL Verification.

Whilst hydrogen is becoming an increasing focus we appreciate this area is less mature than others, so if you have Functional Safety expertise but just not in this area I would nevertheless encourage you to make an application. We have a diverse portfolio of projects and in short, we want to speak with good people with skills we can apply to solve our client's safety needs.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Adhering to all ERM and client requirements, specifically those related to H&S and governance

  • Be a collaborative part of a growing UK team within the ERM network of offshore wind experts operating across many international markets.

  • Identify and secure opportunities to offer ERM services in the UK offshore wind and other markets, and be a driver for evolution within ERM as the markets and opportunities develop.

  • Lead a project team to deliver offshore renewable projects and complete tasks within project scope, budget and schedule requirements; ensure service excellence is achieved by ensuring that project deliverables meet or exceed quality standards.

  • Learn and use ERM’s methodologies and technologies consistently in line with ERM and client expectations.

  • Supervising subcontractors, ensuring they meet or exceed ERM and project requirements.

  • Supporting ERM Partners, applying client/sector know ledge when carrying out tasks associated with drafting project deliverables and or proposals as part of the business development process.

  • Coaching and mentoring junior personnel.
