The Role
Are you passionate about building impactful products in a greenfield environment? Our mission is to build a data stewardship platform that will streamline the OpenData's data curation workflows where Product Managers and over 1,000 data stewards worldwide collaborate to achieve their goals of data coverage and quality.
As a Full Stack Product Developer, you’ll collaborate with a highly skilled team of engineers to build features from concept to deployment. You will work in an agile environment, directly impacting users in a rapidly growing, market-leading life sciences company.
What You'll Do
- Build the Core Product: Design and build APIs, business logic and user interfaces
- Empower internal users and customers: Develop clear and intuitive front-end interfaces in TypeScript for our services teams and customers guiding them through record linkage exercises
- Shape the Product's Future: Take a leading role in architectural decisions, ensuring scalability and performance
- Drive Quality: Contribute to a culture of engineering excellence by improving our CI/CD workflows and applying testing best practices
Requirements
- Proven Experience: 3+ years of software development experience, with a strong focus on building data-intensive applications or products
- Full-Stack Proficiency: Expertise in building applications using Python to build backend APIs and TypeScript for the front-end
- Advanced SQL & Data Expertise: A deep understanding of relational databases and expertise in applying advanced SQL to solve complex data manipulation
- Collaborative Mindset: A proactive and collaborative approach to your work and clear communication skills in English
Nice to Have
- Product-Oriented Skills: Experience working closely with Product Managers to translate requirements into technical solutions and contribute to the product roadmap
- Familiarity with data engineering concepts, ETL/ELT pipelines, or related tools
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and deploying applications to cloud environments (AWS)
