Overview: 

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Developer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of the Laboratory Information System (LIMS) for our genomics laboratory. In this role, you will also serve as the LIMS administrator, assisting users with questions and issues, and training new users.

Responsibilities:

·         Participate in the analysis, design, and development of our in-house LIMS application.

·         Perform additional duties as assigned by the IT lead to support projects and maintenance tasks.

·         Maintain, support, and upgrade our LIMS product.

·         Participate in requirements meetings to understand and implement the needs of functional teams.

·         Build and manage system interfaces (APIs) and integrate with third-party platforms.

·         Support and participate in Application Life Cycle Management processes, including defect tracking, build and deployment management, version control, and continuous integration of new enhancements.

·         Create comprehensive documentation for all work performed.

·         Provide LIMS administrative support to the lab.

·         Support LIMS users by answering questions and resolving issues

·         Provide training to LIMS users when needed

Basic Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.

·         Highly motivated with the ability to clarify requirements and deliver code in a fast-paced, distributed environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Proficiency with SQL, MySQL, or similar databases.

·         Experience in both front-end and back-end development.

·         Experience using core PHP, Bootstrap 4+, CSS, and jQuery.

·         Familiarity with MS Office, VISIO, Jira, and GitHub.

·         Strong work ethic and a desire to take on new challenges.

·         Willingness to stay current with new technologies.

·         Ability to work effectively within a multi-site, multi-cultural team.

·         Self-motivated, independent thinker with excellent troubleshooting skills.

·         Excellent customer service skills.

Bonus Qualifications:

·         Previous LIMS experience.

·         Experience working in a diagnostic laboratory setting.

·         Knowledge of life sciences or genetics.
