Full Stack Developer - FinTech

Our client is looking for a talented Full-Stack Developer to join their London team. You will play a key role in building scalable financial technology solutions, working on automated underwriting systems, developing in NextJS, creating seamless user experiences, and exploring ways to transform customer and business workflows.

Our client is a fintech company building innovative solutions for the UK home finance market. Currently, they are developing an in-house decision engine to streamline and enhance our underwriting process. In addition, they have developed a cutting-edge broker platform which will be launched in the coming weeks and are now preparing to develop its next phase.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop full-stack applications to support loan origination and underwriting workflows.
• Build, maintain and optimize backend services in NextJS.
• Develop responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using Webflow.
• Build and enhance in-house automated underwriting systems, integrating risk logic, third-party data sources and decisioning models.
• Collaborate closely with product, UX, and business teams in an Agile environment to define and deliver effective solutions.
• Ensure high-quality code and reliability through robust testing, reviews, and CI/CD best practices.
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases (MongoDB etc)

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• Previous experience in full-stack development.
• Solid knowledge of full-stack workflows, Git, front-end tech (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), Python and databases (MongoDB etc).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Familiarity with client side and server side architecture

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS or major cloud platforms.
• Working knowledge of Webflow development, Postgres, Supabase.
• Familiarity with compliance, risk assessment, or financial regulations.
• Exposure to AI/ML frameworks (e.g., Hugging Face, OpenAI, TensorFlow).
• Experience in a fintech or lending business, contributing to the development of automated underwriting systems.
• Experience with Open Banking technologies and APIs
