Responsible for executing acquisition and onboarding strategies, optimizing user journeys, and driving subscriber conversions across various channels.
OQS Studio is the newly formed in-house creative agency powering standout campaigns across The Spectator, UnHerd, and Apollo — in the UK and internationally. We blend editorial flair with marketing precision to grow audiences, drive subscriptions, and strengthen the reach of our titles.
We’re looking for a hands-on full-funnel marketer to execute acquisition and onboarding strategy across all platforms. You’ll be integral in our drive to turn curiosity into commitment — building, optimising and monitoring journeys that convert readers into loyal subscribers, from first impression to long-term retention.
What you will be doing:
- Execute the end-to-end marketing funnel across OQS titles — with particular focus on top-of-funnel acquisition and post-sign-up onboarding (days 0–30).
- Build and deliver integrated campaigns across Meta, Google, YouTube, newsletters, web, and app.
- Build and continuously optimise onboarding journeys — including triggered email flows, landing pages, push notifications, and in-app content.
- Work closely with product, editorial, data, and design teams to ensure a seamless, high-quality user journey.
- Adhere to clear reporting frameworks to track acquisition, conversion, and LTV across channels, working towards pre defined KPIs.
- Maintain structured testing programmes (A/B, multivariate, offer testing) to inform strategy and increase ROI.
- Ensure campaigns are both on-brand and optimised for performance — with a clear understanding of the nuances across titles and platforms.
- Handle on-site promotions, metering journeys and offer pages.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years working on acquisition or lifecycle marketing in a subscription-based business, publisher, or DTC environment.
- Hands-on experience executing campaigns across Meta, Google Ads, YouTube, and similar performance platforms.
- Practical experience building onboarding journeys that drive early engagement and improve retention would be a positive.
- An understanding of marketing funnels, customer journeys, attribution models, and LTV forecasting.
- Hands-on experience with GA4, Parse.ly, Campaign Monitor/Mailchimp, Customer.io or equivalent tools.
- Knowledge of publishing tools i.e. Zephr or Piano is an advantage and some basic coding (HTML & CSS) is a benefit to create basic email and marketing templates.
- A creative, collaborative mindset — with a strong eye for copy, design, and user experience.
- Clear communicator and confident operator, comfortable working across multiple titles and stakeholder groups.
Benefits
- Salary dependent on experience.
- 5% Employer Contribution Pension Scheme.
- All staff receive generous discounts at our Company restaurant, as well as free breakfast and fruit
- Cycle to work scheme
- Interest free season ticket loan
