Role Overview

We’re looking for a skilled Frontend/Web Engineer (Contractor) to help us rebuild, design and scale our marketing website, ensuring it is performant, flexible, and simple for our non-technical team members to manage.

The site is built with React (Next.js) and integrates with Basehub as a headless CMS. You’ll be responsible for improving site performance, extending the component library, and implementing best practices across SEO, analytics, and content workflows. As well as maintaining the high level of design and usability for our commercial to maintain, edit copy and content.

This role is perfect for an engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of product, marketing, and design helping us create a world-class web presence that drives user acquisition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Rebuild and extend our marketing site in React (Next.js), ensuring scalability and maintainability.

  • Integrate with Basehub so our non-technical teams can easily edit site structure and content.

  • Implement new pages, components, and templates.

  • Optimise site performance (Lighthouse scores, Core Web Vitals) and ensure accessibility standards are met.

  • Implement SEO best practices, analytics tracking, and A/B testing frameworks.

  • Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.

  • Provide clear documentation for internal teams to update content and maintain workflows.

Requirements
  • Proven experience building production-level sites in Next.js / React.

  • Experience integrating with headless CMS platforms (Basehub experience strongly preferred).

  • Strong understanding of frontend performance optimisation and SEO fundamentals.

  • Experience implementing design systems and reusable component libraries.

  • Strong design eye & portfolio demonstrating both graphical and technical skills

  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment.

It would be a bonus for you to have:

  • Experience building backend services or API integrations to support marketing features and interactive components.

  • Experience with analytics, tracking, and experimentation frameworks (e.g., Google Analytics, Segment, Google Tag Manager, VWO).

  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards.

  • Background in SaaS or product-led growth businesses.
