Position: Front-end Web Developer

Previous experience: Developing web components using Angular and React.

Location: Cambridge, UK – Hybrid (3 days at the office)

Employment type: Full-time regular (flexible working options available)

The job  

We are seeking a mid-level Front-End Developer with experience in developing web components as part of a Design System. That can collaborate with the UI/UX team to deliver intuitive user experiences to support a growing portfolio of products. This is a great opportunity to make a difference.

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use, ensuring scalability and performance
  • Use to collaborating with the UX team to translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code, optimising components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members, ensuring best practices are followed and code quality is maintained

 

Ideal experience

  • Experience of software development to creating intuitive user-centred interfaces 
  • Should have at minimum 4 years of experience working with CSS, HTML5 and JavaScript
  • Experience writing unit tests

Great skills to have

  • Understanding of UI/UX in an Agile environment
  • Knowledge for wireframe and prototyping tools
  • Appreciate graphic design elements and understanding of design tools
  • Some familiarity of Engineering or Operations environments

Hybrid working
