The Front End Software Engineer will develop user-facing applications utilizing Black Forest Labs' models and API, create new user experiences for AI media models, and enhance the company website for performance and user communication. Collaboration with ML research teams is crucial.
Black Forest Labs is a cutting-edge startup pioneering generative image and video models. Our team, which invented Stable Diffusion, Stable Video Diffusion, and FLUX.1, is currently seeking a talented Front End Developer to build intuitive user interfaces and accelerate the launch and upgrades of our product suite.
The role is located in one of our key hubs (San Francisco, Germany or London) as a preference. Remote locations can be discussed on a case by case basis.
Role:
- Develop user-facing internal and external applications using Black Forest Labs models and API for various purposes.
- Reason about and develop new user-experiences for next generation AI media models. Build these amazing experiences and neat interfaces in close collaboration with ML research & engineering colleagues.
- Instrument our products with developer-centric tools (e.g. dashboards, evaluation interfaces).
- Maintain and enhance our company website, ensuring it effectively communicates our vision and capabilities; ensure that the website is optimized for performance; testing and debugging the website
Ideal Experience:
- +3 years of professional work experience
- Excellent proficiency in front-end development, with mastery of one framework such as ReactJS, Svelte, Vue.js, HTMX, etc.
- Strong ability to create the smoothest user experience autonomously, for both developer facing and end-user facing products
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a very strong preference for previous startup or fast-paced/demanding environments
- A portfolio of successful projects would be greatly appreciated
- Autonomous and self-starter profile
- Appetite for constructing AI-based solutions
