About Bound
Bound is the FX copilot for fast-growing businesses.
When companies earn or spend money in foreign currencies, exchange rate movements can quietly eat into their margins. That's FX risk. Hedging is how businesses protect themselves against it, but traditionally it's meant clunky broker calls, spreadsheets, and opaque pricing.
Bound replaces all of that with smart automation and real-time control, making currency hedging simple, flexible, and transparent.
We're FCA-regulated, backed by a recent $25M Series A, and trusted by over 200 companies including ManyChat, Paddle, and Tines. We're a small, high-output team based in London. We ship fast, care deeply about craft, and believe the best fintech products feel effortless.
The Role
We're looking for a frontend engineer who cares deeply about building polished, intuitive products.
You'll work closely with the CTO and engineering team to build the product our customers interact with every day: dashboards, trade flows, data visualisations, and workflows that make complex FX concepts feel clear and usable.
This is an engineering role with a strong product and design sensibility. We want someone who can build high-quality React applications and who also has good judgment about interface quality, interaction details, and the overall user experience.
You should care about how things look, feel, and behave. You notice when the hierarchy is unclear, when a flow feels clunky, or when a loading state needs more thought. You treat product polish as part of the job, not an afterthought.
What You'll Do
- Build and ship production React and TypeScript across our web application
- Develop complex, stateful user interfaces that are fast, reliable, and easy to use
- Work closely with the CTO and team on product direction and frontend architecture
- Contribute to UI and UX improvements by identifying rough edges and proposing better solutions
- Prototype and iterate on ideas quickly before turning them into production-ready features
- Use AI development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor to move faster while maintaining strong engineering judgment
- Help shape product experiences used by finance teams at scaling companies
What We're Looking For
- Strong React and TypeScript skills, with the ability to build robust frontend systems from scratch
- Good product and design instincts: you care about visual hierarchy, spacing, typography, states, and interaction quality
- A high level of ownership and pride in what you ship
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with ambiguity and high standards
- Ability to use AI-assisted development tools effectively while understanding and reviewing the code that ships
- 0-3 years of professional experience, with clear evidence that you've been building for much longer through side projects, open source, freelance work, or personal apps
- Based in London or willing to commute into the office 5 days a week
- Eligible to work in the UK. We do not offer visa sponsorship
Nice to Have
- Experience building products in a startup or high-velocity environment
- Interest in fintech, financial infrastructure, or complex product workflows
- Experience building data-heavy interfaces, internal tools, or workflow products
What We Value
Hungry — We're driven by the vision and the impact we want to have. We push ourselves to go further, keep learning, and keep raising the bar.
Obsessed — We care about the product, the work, and our customers. We care about details, execute with discipline, and take pride in doing things properly.
Grounded — We stay calm under pressure, honest about what we know and what we don't. We value judgment, practicality, and steady progress over hype or ego.
If you have something to prove and the work to back it up, we want to hear from you.
