Freelance/Contract - Head of Quality Assurance - UK/EU

Position overview

ProPharma are supporting a global Life-sciences organisation as they require Freelance/Contract support at a senior level within the QA group. For this unique project, the successful consultant will assume the position of ‘Head of Quality Assurance – UK/EU’ and will be key in leading a number of aspects both on an operational and strategic level related to GMP/GDP activities. The project is planned to commence on 1st March 2025 and run for a least 6 months with a strong possibility of an extension. The role requires 4 hours support per day, 4 days a week and can be performed nearly fully remotely but with 1-2 trips to their HQ outside of the UK.

 
Responsibilities include

• Full leadership and management of all external partners from a QA perspective

• Manage and conduct internal and external audits when necessary

• Ensure full compliance to all necessary regulations both internally and throughout the supplier network

• Help support and lead new initiatives to ensure continuous improvement methods are achieved

• Support team members and global groups as and when needed

• Overall ensure the Quality System throughout the UK/EU is compliant and efficient as possible 

Qualifications required

• Must be educated to a BSc or further ideally within a life-sciences discipline or a related subject applicable to the above function

• At least 15 years’ experience working within the life-sciences industry with a distinct focus on Quality Assurance

• Broadly focused across a variety of disciplines within QA (Supplier management, audit management, driving new initiatives, ensuring compliance etc. 

• Proven leadership skills would be preferred 

• Proven experience managing key aspects within the UK/EU framework 

• Fluency in English 

• Must be currently based in the UK or EU
