We’re looking for a Freelance Social Media Manager to join our Marketing team. This role will report into the Head of Social. This is your chance to bring our fearless vision to life across our social channels, sparking joy and discovery for a global audience. You will be instrumental in ensuring our content is vibrant, relevant, and flawlessly executed every single day.

The Role 

Your day to day responsibilities will look like this:

  • Executes the social media strategy, ensuring all daily content and campaigns align with overarching brand goals and performance targets.
  • Contributes to creative concepting and content creation, identifying fresh visual directions and helping to develop fearless social-first ideas.
  • Gives hands-on video editing and content creation support, including low-fi asset capturing, editing short-form video, and shooting reactive content that sparks joy and discovery.
  • Supports the Senior Social Content Manager with the development of creative asset briefs for all new product launches, events, reactivations, and always-on campaigns.
  • Coordinates creative feedback and sign-offs efficiently via Asana, overseeing the flow of design and video assets from the creative team.
  • Crafts compelling and engaging copy for all social channels, including SEO-informed YouTube copywriting to maximise discoverability.
  • Facilitates collaboration between the social and copy teams, ensuring content aligns with brand messaging and coordinating the copy workload to meet deadlines.
  • Leads daily publishing across all social channels, ensuring prompt and seamless output.
  • Champions our physical retail expansion and global market growth by capturing the vibrancy of in-store events and adapting social content for diverse international audiences.
  • Helps coordinate special brand projects through copywriting, asset planning, research, and project management.
  • Reports on KPI performance, giving asset insights that help the wider team inform and refine the social content strategy.
  • Monitors emerging trends and viral content, identifying opportunities to adapt brand content or create new, reactive assets

Requirements
    • Experience in social media,  content planning, or copy,  ideally for a brand in beauty, lifestyle, or consumer goods.
    • A proven ability to assist in planning and delivering engaging, social-first assets that help drive conversations and extend our reach.
    • A solid understanding of current social media trends, popular platforms, and what makes content resonate.
    • Excellent communication skills. 
    • Comfortable executing tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and eager to learn and grow within the social media landscape. You are task-driven and committed to getting things done.
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage content schedules, track assets, and ensure timely delivery.
    • Capable of helping to track social media performance.
    • A willingness and capability to provide hands-on support.
