Dragonfli Group is seeking two Fraud Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to join a cybersecurity analytics team supporting a large federal agency. This is a fully remote role. You will apply AI and machine learning analytics to large volumes of data from disparate sources to uncover cybersecurity threats and fraud schemes, build analytic solutions in Databricks using Python, SQL, and R, and translate complex findings into clear reporting for stakeholders at every level. The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in fraud analytics, data science, or AI/ML applied to security or fraud detection, and the curiosity to find gaps in systems and processes and recommend practical remediation.

This is a multi-year contract position involving a large US federal agency. Candidates with previous federal contracting experience are preferred. U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required. If hired, all work related to this role must be performed within the continental U.S.

Job responsibilities:

  • Work across business units to identify, collect, aggregate, and analyze new data sources that advance the team's mission.
  • Reduce the time needed to deliver analytical insights through automation and reusable analytic pipelines.
  • Identify and analyze gaps in systems and processes, and recommend remediation to better deter cybersecurity threats and fraudulent activity.
  • Apply AI/ML tools, including large language models, to accelerate analytic work and script development.

  • Demonstrated expert-level experience designing, building, and deploying AI/ML solutions for fraud or anomaly detection, developed over many years of client work delivering solutions.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and model development.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks or a comparable cloud analytics platform.
  • Ability to communicate complex analytic results clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, and to direct specialized teams of data scientists, data engineers, and business intelligence specialists.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency, and the ability to work from within the continental U.S.
