Job Title: Fragrance Design Specialist

JOB PURPOSE 

As the Home Care Fragrance Design team, our mission is to elevate consumers’ experiences by delivering extraordinary fragrance experiencesWe are looking for a Fragrance Specialist with a passion for delivering extraordinary experiences for the consumers we serve. The purpose of the job is to manage the delivery of a programme to ensure compliance of our fragrances across all markets.  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

You will work with a Senior Fragrance Design Lead, and the wider Fragrance Design and R&D team to deliver fragrance compliance programmes across the globe, ensuring the intent and integrity of fragrance experiences are protected as we navigate ever more complex regulatory challenges.  

The core responsibilities of the role are: 

  • Deliver the HC Fragrance Compliance Program as part of the overall Fragrance Portfolio Optimisation strategy for HC.  

  • Co-ordinate and olfactively evaluate the fragrance rework programme with FDLs and Fragrance House Partners for fragrances of strategic importance in the HC portfolio, as guided by the Senior FDL. 

  • Co-ordinate appropriate testing (expert / sensory / consumer as required) with Consumer Research and Fragrance Design colleagues to ensure reworked fragrances are ‘qualified’ for market according to the strategic qualification principles. 

  • Build confidence at a country level in the reworked fragrances to facilitate smooth implementation. 

  • Co-ordinate stability programs with the Fragrance Houses. 

  • Work in close collaboration with the wider multi-funtional Fragrance Design Team, Regulatory Team, Marketing Team and Formulation Teams as necessary to ensure fragrances are ready to meet compliance deadlines.  

ALL ABOUT YOU 

  • You will have 3+ years industry experience in fragrance, or 5+ years’ experience in an R&D role with a keen interest in learning more about olfactive science and objective fragrance evaluation.  
  • You will have a good level of olfactive ability to enable objective evaluation of development samples. ISIPCA or equivalent training is preferred but not essential. 
  • You will have excellent project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects to successful completion.  
  • You will have excellent collaboration and communication skills and will be regarded as a great team player 
  • You will have a proven track record of working with internal and external partners to deliver desired project outcomes.  
  • You will have a digital ‘mindset and your way of working will ensure that data and insights are captured and maximized across the fragrance design program.
