About Finance at THG

Finance at THG is a rapidly growing and evolving team, covering all areas of finance from central functions such as accounts receivable and payable, treasury, tax and internal audit, to specific commercial teams for each of our divisions; Beauty, Tech, Consumer, Health and Brands. About the FP&A Team

The Group is a listed business with increasing corporate governance and accounting requirements worldwide. You will be reporting into the Head of FP&A and support across our financial reporting and Group finance function.

The Corporate FP&A team are at the forefront of analytics and reporting for the Group, focusing on providing management detailed insight for corporate planning and decision-making. A group wide function which consolidates all knowledge of financial performance across all of the groups divisions.  Team includes a mix of practice and industry background individuals focused on providing accurate and timely analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of Day-to-Day Financials: Oversee the day-to-day financials of the Group, ensuring detailed analytics and challenge on month-end performance to maintain high standards of accuracy and reliability.
  • Management of Forecasting Process: Oversee the Group’s short-term, high-frequency forecasting process to ensure real-time insights are provided to senior management.
  • Development of Reporting Packs: Develop and expand internal reporting packs to enhance insight and analytics, ensuring that all reports are accurate, timely, and relevant.
  • Support Annual Budgeting and Planning: Provide support on the annual budgeting and corporate planning cycles, working closely with various departments to ensure alignment with the Group’s strategic objectives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including the executive board, M&A team, and external advisors, to support key group strategy decisions such as refinancing, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
  • Financial Planning Systems: Act as the business owner of the Group’s financial planning and consolidation system (Tagetik), ensuring its effective use and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with at least 4 year of post-qualified experience.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities and the need to be hands-on and detail-oriented.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to challenge numbers effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with senior stakeholders.
  • Proactive and creative approach to problem-solving with strong planning and organizational skills.

Desirable

  • Ideal for a second time mover from practice, or all experience in industry
  • Experience with Consolidation and Planning tools (Tagetik is used, but any relevant system is useful)
