About the role:

We are looking for a bright, talented and detail-oriented FP&A analyst to be part of our small FP&A team and part of the wider central finance team at PTW. The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for assisting with financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organisation. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modelling skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and excellent communication abilities. You will work directly with the FP&A Director ensuring that our financial models are robust, accurate and follow best practice. You may also be required to assist with consolidation and presentation of monthly financial data and analysis and interpretation of that data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
  • Build the annual budget and quarterly forecasts for different business units and consolidate into one master budget/forecast.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis.
  • Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for various business units and projects
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making.
  • Assist in the evaluation of potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Create financial models to predict growth and forecast performance
  • Analyse previous budgets and forecasts and performing variance analysis to explain discrepancies.
  • Evaluate new and existing projects, investments, and assets to determine their validity and appraise their value.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Expert financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations and Power BI
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and management reporting.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a results-driven mindset.
