THE TEAM

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is a core part of the Group Finance team, based in London. We focus on articulating and analysing the Group’s business performance and future forecasts to the GFG Management and Supervisory Boards. We work closely with the FP&A teams based in Latin America, South East Asia and Australia, alongside the wider Group Finance, Tax and Treasury functions in London, Luxembourg and Germany. 

This role is one of two FP&A Finance Manager positions, one focusing on Reporting and the other on Budgeting & Planning, with both reporting to the Head of Group FP&A. This role is the Reporting focused FP&A Manager role and you will be working closely with the regional FP&A Teams, Group Reporting Team, Group CFO and Management Board. 

Both the FP&A Finance Managers will have a specific lead area of responsibility, however, they are expected to support one another in peak times or when business needs dictate.

SCOPE OF THE ROLE

  • Detailed P&L, Cash Flow and Balance Sheet analysis, identifying business trends, risks and opportunities 
  • Develop insight on business non financial KPIs
  • Provide accurate and timely information to the Group CFO and Group Management Board to support business decision making
  • Provide critique and challenge to regional data - from both a financial and operational perspective  
  • Work closely with the Group IR to support external results announcements
  • Work closely with the Senior Finance Systems Analyst to ensure continued integrity of our FP&A Finance System, OneStream. 
  • Build strong coaching relationships with regional teams to open up communication and trust, and share best practice.
  • Ownership of process / insight improvement projects
  • Ad-hoc modelling and scenario analysis
  • Develop and mentor the FP&A Analyst, helping to enhance capability within the team.  

Specific Reporting and Insight responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the monthly Group Flash process
  • Manage the timely and accurate preparation of the monthly Group performance reporting for the Group Management Board
  • Responsible for the quarterly Supervisory Board Group performance reporting
  • Provide distilled key performance insights to Group IR, assist in drafting release presentations and scripts, prepare Management briefing packs for investor meetings and ensure accuracy and consistency across all external release financial materials.
  • Develop the reporting to ensure the reporting and forecasts provide true insight into performance against these drivers.
  • Drive continuous process improvement in our reporting cycle, both locally at Group and at a regional level
  • Improve and develop monthly business model reporting, including Marketplace and Platform Services
  • Develop and enhance customer cohort analysis, identifying emerging customer behaviours and trends, analysing retention and repeat purchase behaviour
  • Take the Finance lead in supporting the Business Intelligence team

  • Strong Excel skills with experience of a Global EPM tool (Onestream, Hyperion/HFM)

  • A strong focus on delivery and the ability to both plan and implement the outcomes
  • Very high level of initiative and self-motivation
