Join Mattioli Woods as an FP&A Analyst during an exciting period of private equity (PE)-backed growth. This isn't a purely reporting role – we're looking for someone commercially curious who wants to understand how the business really works and use insight to influence better decisions.

Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you'll be encouraged to challenge, ask "why", and work closely with stakeholders to understand performance and support value creation. This is a collaborative, supportive environment where development and continuous improvement are actively encouraged.

What you'll do:

Commercial insight and analysis

  • produce decision-focused analysis that explains what's happening, why, and what to do next

  • support budgeting and forecasting, analysing revenue, costs, and profitability drivers

  • build and maintain financial models to evaluate different options and their impact

Business partnering

  • build strong relationships with stakeholders, becoming their trusted finance contact

  • translate financial information into simple, meaningful insight for non-finance colleagues

  • support performance discussions with evidence-based challenge and constructive input

Performance reporting and improvement

  • prepare management reporting, and support monthly packs and selected Board reporting

  • develop and track KPIs and dashboards that matter to the business

  • contribute ideas to improve reporting, forecasting, and automation

What we’re looking for:

Essential

  • part-qualified or newly-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent relevant experience

  • experience producing management information and variance analysis

  • strong Excel skills with good foundation in financial modelling

  • commercial mindset – interested in the story behind the numbers, not just the numbers

  • clear communicator who can explain financial insight in a practical way

  • proactive, curious, and comfortable in fast-moving environments

Desirable

  • PE-backed business or fast-growth environment experience

  • financial services or wealth management exposure

  • BI tools or ERP systems (Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle)

  • awareness of consolidation processes and Group reporting structures

Perks and benefits

💰 competitive salary (depending on experience)
⏰ 34.5-hour working week
🏥 health cash plan (Core Level 1)
💼 5% employer/5% employee pension
💖 4x salary life assurance and group income protection

🎉 25 days’ holiday plus statutory (increasing with service)
🏠 hybrid working – a blend of home and office time in Leicester
🌱 training and development opportunities
🤝 a supportive, collaborative team environment

Why join us?

This role offers genuine development opportunity in a PE-backed wealth management business. You'll work closely with senior leadership, contribute to strategic decisions, and build your FP&A career in a supportive team that values curiosity, continuous learning, and ‘better ways’ over ‘we've always done it this way’.

If you're commercially minded, enjoy problem-solving, and want a role where your insight genuinely matters, we'd love to hear from you.
