As a Forward Deployment Engineer you will help drive the growth of Speechmatics by working directly with customers and partners across industries to demonstrate, integrate, customise, and deploy our Voice AI at speed.
As a product evangelist you’ll be directly responsible for implementing our Voice AI in demos, Proof of Concepts' and in full scale customer environments. You’ll love the challenge of integrating with our APIs to rapidly create powerful demos of our Voice AI in different use cases and deployment scenarios.
This is a hands-on engineering role. You’ll work side-by-side with end-users and our brilliant engineering team to deliver measurable value in days or weeks, not months.

What you’ll be doing:
- Develop rapid prototypes and proof-of-concepts and pilots to validate customer solutions,
- Build demonstrations for events and large communities that engages with the Voice AI commity.
- Design, build, and deploy custom integrations of Speechmatics’ APIs into diverse customer and partner environments,
- Provide technical guidance and support to customers and internal teams to ensure successful solution adoption and deployment
- Collaborate directly with customer engineering teams to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimise deployments for accuracy, scalability, and performance.
- Customer education around installation, support and operation of deployments

- We're seeking someone with exceptional software development knowledge and API integration expertise. Your coding prowess should be matched by excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distil complex technical concepts into compelling solutions.
- You're equally at home with languages such as TypeScript, SvelteKit, and React – your weapons for building jaw-dropping proof-of-concepts that showcase innovation at its finest. Your full-stack expertise transforms ideas into tangible demonstrations that captivate clients.
- Voice AI fascination runs through your veins, with genuine curiosity about user experience design and conversational interfaces. You craft experiences that anticipate user needs, strengthen our SDKs, and push the boundaries of what's possible in voice technology.
- You thrive on ambiguity and see failed experiments as stepping stones to breakthrough innovations. When clients present half-formed ideas, you instinctively fill the gaps, weaving incomplete requirements into coherent, brilliant solutions that exceed expectations.
