Position Overview

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with our customers to design, deploy, and extend mission-critical solutions powered by our platform. As one of the earliest technical interfaces between Condukt and our clients, you’ll help translate complex operational challenges into elegant, scalable implementations, bridging deep technical expertise with hands-on customer collaboration.

This role is ideal for engineers who love solving real customer problems, thrive in ambiguous environments, and enjoy working across product, engineering, and go-to-market teams. You’ll help shape how customers adopt and scale our technology, while influencing our product roadmap through frontline insights.

If you are excited by the idea of building, deploying, and optimizing solutions in partnership with world-class financial institutions and fintechs, this role is for you.
What you'll do

  • Partner with customers to deeply understand their use cases, data needs, and integrations, and turn those into clear technical plans using Condukt, then guide them through adopting what you build

  • Drive end-to-end configuration and deployment of our tech, interacting with our products and customer tech stacks via public APIs

  • Lead the technical design, development, and build of custom tools tailored to specific customer project requirements, to extend our base capabilities and/or interface with external systems to achieve the customer’s goals

  • Provide expert troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization for deployed solutions to ensure stability and efficiency

  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and go-to-market teams to prioritize feedback, shape product direction, and drive delivery

What you bring
  • You are an effective and self-driven builder

  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering or technical deployment, including direct customer-facing work

  • Strong ability to understand customer workflows and translate them into clear product and technical requirements

  • Experience scoping and delivering complex systems in fast-moving or ambiguous environments

  • Expertise in interacting with external systems via public APIs

  • Ability to write and review production-grade code across frontend and backend using Python, JavaScript, or comparable stacks

  • Hands-on experience building or deploying systems powered by LLMs or generative models, with a solid grasp of data flow, model behavior, and integration patterns

  • Comfortable turning recurring patterns into tools, playbooks, or building blocks for others to use

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Fast learner who can adapt to new technologies, product updates, and customer environments

It would be a plus if you have:

  • Experience deploying or integrating solutions in financial services, fintech, or compliance-heavy domains

  • Experience supporting enterprise customers or large-scale integrations

  • Exposure to risk, fraud, underwriting, or KYC/KYB products.

Our Offer
  • Tackle meaningful problems with real-world impact

  • Competitive salary and equity package

  • Join us onsite in our offices in London or Porto (2 days a week)

  • Flat hierarchy with direct access to the founders

  • Top-of-the-line equipment

  • Private health insurance, plus sick and compassionate leave as needed
