The Role

We are looking for an individual who can work as an operator. Overall, this role is responsible for ensuring the overall operational success of the technology. You will work in a live environment to apply software expertise to aid in each matchday.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work with the operations team according to the flow of live play and the system.
  • Master and have complete command over the entire system and processes.
  • Analyse live tracks, validate markings, and provide QA as necessary for all system events.
  • Aptly available to work on Second Spectrum game operations duties such as tracking and data delivery.

Required skills:

  • Extreme attentiveness.
  • Background working with football refereeing terms or ideally, as a referee.
  • Knowledge and experience with definitional football terms.
  • Proactively communicative.
  • A strong tolerance for repetitive tasks.
  • Prior experience making time-critical judgment calls regarding live data processing, and engineering support.
  • Enforcement of self-accountability and the performance of a large team.

Additional position details:

  • Must be able and available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must possess flexibility, including early morning and late evenings.
