Job Description

FinOps Consultant 

As a FinOps Consultant you will help to drive cost optimisation and efficiency in cloud environments. This is a hands-on and customer facing role helping organisations design and implement FinOps capabilities to continuously optimise spend and deliver maximum value from their public cloud investment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Collate, analyse, prioritise cloud cost optimisation recommendations and calculate potential savings and benefits using FinOps tools 
  • Implement rate and usage optimisations within public cloud environments (Azure, AWS and GCP) 
  • Create high quality customer facing collateral explaining cloud cost optimisation and FinOps and present them to customers, both technical and non-technical 
  • Design and implement FinOps maturity roadmaps for customers to accelerate their FinOps capabilities from scratch or optimise existing approach 
  • Design and deliver training and enablement sessions to raise their understanding of cloud finance and economics 
  • Collaborate with pre-sales, professional services and managed services to design and implement cost optimisations recommendations and best practices.  

 

Skills / Experience 

  • Hands on experience implementing FinOps to optimise cloud costs, with deep understanding of levers available to optimise cloud costs 
  • Strong understanding of the FinOps Framework, capabilities, lifecycle and domains 
  • Hands on experience with native and 3rd party public cloud cost management tools 
  • Comfortable public speaking and presenting to a wide range of audiences 
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and client relationships 
  • Highly strong numerical and finance skills to investigate data and spot trends and anomalies 

*Flexibility to travel to clients and London HQ when required

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Certifications such as FinOps Practitioner or FinOps Professional 

Preferred but not essential: 

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner 
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
