Job DescriptionIn this role, you are one of the primary architects of the global operating model for the Financial Crime Operations vertical. You are responsible for the structural integrity, strategic alignment, and cultural health of a multi-domain ecosystem encompassing all FinCrime Operations teams.
You serve as a high-leverage partner to the leadership team of FinCrime Ops, translating long-term business strategy into scalable organizational and communications structures and practices.
This is a strategic leadership role with a heavy emphasis on organizational design and internal communications framework. You are accountable for the vertical’s readiness - ensuring that as the company scales, the FinCrime Ops infrastructure (people, rituals, and communication) evolves ahead of the curve. You lead through a team of specialists and leads, focusing on high-level coaching, succession planning, and the removal of systemic blockers across the entire FinCrime landscape.
QualificationsStrategic Planning and Program Management
- Develop a comprehensive roadmap on all items pertaining to Service Delivery for the teams in Financial Crime Operations.
- Provide strategic insights and tactical leadership to manage the outcomes of multi-team plans.
- Own a large scope of different topics and projects that drive Operations objectives.
- Create governance and drive project execution of large-scale, multidimensional projects across our global Financial Crime compliance program.
Governance and Operational Excellence
- Set up and drive Operations Governance, ensuring holistic input is taken on board from key stakeholders.
- Run operational diagnostics where necessary to identify areas for improvement.
- Deliver on key topics such as creating and maintaining standardised Performance Management frameworks for all management levels in FinCrime Operations, developing Change Management solutions, and implementing best practices for the entire domain.
- Establish a clear governance process for operational changes, management information, and other operational processes as needed.
- Change Leadership: Lead the communication strategy for large-scale "Bet the Company" shifts, ensuring clarity and psychological safety during periods of hyper-growth or restructuring.
Leadership and Stakeholder Management
- Build a team that enables FinCrime Operations to run efficiently, create meaningful changes, and operationalize fast.
- Ensure strong collaboration between various stakeholders, including People team, Servicing and Central functions, and the Product Squad.
- Lead: Define the direction and empower your team to work interdependently to achieve goals in an autonomous environment.
- Deliver: Make sure the team is data-driven to make the most impact for our customers.
- Develop: Create an environment focused on the ongoing development of your team through knowledge sharing and feedback.
- Nurture: Build a culture where your team can have maximum impact by being and challenging themselves.
Knowledge Architecture & Operational Intelligence
- Strategic Information Design: Beyond just "maintaining hubs," you design the information architecture that allows a multi-thousand-person org to remain agile.
- Operational Transparency: Implement sophisticated reporting structures that provide real-time visibility into the health of all FinCrime domains, ensuring "one version of the truth" across the org.
Culture, Scale & Organizational Health
- Global Engagement Strategy: Design the cultural blueprint for a diverse, distributed, and multi-disciplinary workforce. You focus on building a unified identity across different operational domains.
- Leadership Development: Partner with the leadership team of FinCrime and People Ops to design succession planning, leadership leveling, and talent density initiatives across the vertical.
Requirements
- Language Skills: Fluent in English.
- Experience with: Proven success in a central operations, transformation, or governance role. Demonstrable experience in designing, implementing, and coaching others on repeatable internal business processes (e.g., MBRs, OKR cycles).
- The role requires expert-level proficiency in process design, strategic communications, and internal governance, complemented by advanced skills in content design and documentation architecture.
- The ideal candidate must demonstrate expert-level mastery in credible influence, stakeholder management, and strategic problem-solving, while maintaining exceptional communication clarity and a proactive approach to coaching and facilitation.
- Other Competencies: A passion for creating clarity from complexity, and the ability to operate autonomously with high accountability.
Nice to have:
- Education: Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Organisational Development, or a related field.
- Certifications: Certifications in Project Management, Change Management, or internal coaching.
- Experience: Experience with an internal OKR/Strategy tracking platforms. Hands-on experience with process mapping and optimisation methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
