Alfa is looking to recruit a Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team based in our London office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with a passion for telling a story with data utilising BI tools and helping guide commercial business decisions through effective analysis. 
 

The FP&A team provides a key business partnering function and aims to support the business in planning and executing its strategic growth objectives.  The Financial Analyst role is focussed on reporting and analysis of business performance to drive value creation.

Key responsibilities/activities:

  • Reporting and presentations: Own the preparation of monthly reporting including management reports, financial KPIs, chargeability and customer profitability reporting, working with Finance colleagues and the wider business to prepare meaningful analysis and commentary;

  • Data analysis: Perform ad-hoc financial and operational analysis, providing commercial insights and enabling the business to make data driven decisions;

  • Budgeting and forecasting: Develop accurate financial budgets and periodic forecasts using financial systems, monitor budgets for tech functions; 

  • Business partnering: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, provide guidance and support, control budget execution;

  • Data structures: Drive enhancements to the quality of Alfa’s data, improving data tagging, collection and governance processes; 

  • Implementation of Power BI to leverage efficiency of Finance reporting and analysis, including monitoring of data integrations, with scope to further integrate across other business functions;

  • Administration of financial systems: Managing Workday and Adaptive Planning tool and effective use throughout regular forecasting cycles, report writing, automation of current reports;

  • Process improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, implement best practices, and enhance efficiency in financial reporting
     

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience in Financial Data Analysis or FP&A role with a passion for data analysis, reporting and comfortable with large data sets.

  • Advanced Excel skills;

  • Experience with accounting and/or ERP systems (Workday and/or Adaptive Planning preferred) and Power BI or equivalent BI tools (experience with implementing the tool a bonus)

  • Attention to detail, inquisitive and prepared to use initiative to solve problems;

  • Comfortable working to deadlines within a fast paced environment;
