You've started your career in Financial Planning and are ready for the next step in a growing firm with big ambitions. You want to work with an ambitious management team, supporting our Financial Planners to deliver excellence for their high-net-worth clients.

About the role

You will take ownership of client relationships from beginning to end and follow administrative tasks through to completion. You’ll work alongside a highly detail‑driven, top‑billing Financial Planner who consistently attracts high‑quality prospects and continues to grow a substantial and expanding client portfolio. You will assist with processing new business and client reviews, diary management, liaising with clients and scheduling appointments.

Your role will also involve preparing suitability reports, updating existing or creating new financial planning cash-flow reports, and, when requested, producing and calculating both tax and pension calculations changes. You will conduct comprehensive financial research on products and investments using approved research tools. 

This is an integral role with a unique level of exposure to a senior Financial Planner, supporting them to provide high-quality financial planning, with a focus on high-net-worth clients and exceptional client service.

Accountabilities

  • Proactively anticipate and support client needs, finding solutions for ad-hoc requests.

  • Provide high-quality service to private clients, as a bedrock to the Financial Planners’ specialist financial planning services.

  • Support Financial Planners with writing suitability reports and prepare detailed review presentation reports for key clients.

  • Ownership of processes e.g.  scheduling reviews, booking appointments, communication with clients and providers.

  • Deliver against organisational key results and objectives, adding value to their achievement.

  • Ensure comprehensive client records are accurate and up to date at all times.

  • Provide Financial Planners with precise and thorough research and calculations, showing your technical knowledge and capability.

Skills and Experience

  • Level 4 qualified or higher in Financial Planning (ideally through CII).

  • High level of knowledge and understanding of the processes and how a Financial Planning firm works.

  • Good understanding and technical knowledge and able to do basic pension, tax calculations by hand and use cash flow tools (Voyant, FinCalc), financial planning research, and writing suitability reports.

  • Excellent Excel skills – e.g. Pivot tables, VLookups.

  • Experience of using a CRM (we use Xplan).

  • A professional and personable communicator who enjoys engaging with clients.

  • Able to work to deadlines whilst producing accurate work.
