This is an opportunity to shape how Finance operates within an ambitious, technology-led manufacturing business. You will combine rigorous financial control with commercial insight, strengthening the fundamentals while building a scalable finance function that can support Geomiq’s growth.

We are prioritising candidates who utilise and advocate for automation and AI to improve day to day efficient and accuracy.

Main responsibilities:

Financial Control and Reporting

  • Own the integrity, accuracy and timely delivery of Geomiq’s financial results.

  • Lead the month-end and year-end close, statutory reporting, audit, tax compliance and balance sheet control.

  • Provide the CEO and leadership team with clear reporting on performance, risks and priorities.

  • Set the financial standards, controls and operating rhythm for the business.

Planning and Performance

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts and regular performance reviews.

  • Translate financial and operational data into clear insight for business leaders.

  • Identify performance gaps, challenge assumptions and ensure actions are agreed and owned.

  • Support strategic decisions through robust analysis of investments, costs, growth opportunities and commercial trade-offs.

Cash and Commercial Control

  • Own cash flow forecasting, working capital and short- and medium-term liquidity visibility.

  • Strengthen control across revenue, purchasing, credit control, customer collections, supplier payments and expenditure.

  • Build clear visibility of gross margin, customer and project profitability, and the economics of the marketplace.

  • Partner with commercial and operational leaders to improve financial performance and accountability.

Finance Function and Systems

  • Build scalable finance processes, systems, controls and reporting that can support continued growth.

  • Improve the quality and consistency of data flowing between Geomiq’s platform, operational processes and finance systems.

  • Develop the capability, structure and priorities of the finance function as the business evolves.

  • Work across Software, Sales, Operations and the leadership team to embed strong financial ownership throughout Geomiq.

  • Utilise automation and AI tools to improve efficiency of the day-to-day and reporting.

Experience Required:
  • Fully qualified accountant with an ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent qualification.

  • 8+ years experience in a Financial Controller or comparable accounting position.

  • Proven ownership of financial reporting, controls, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and business performance.

  • Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting requirements, statutory reporting, audit, tax compliance and financial governance.

  • Commercially astute, with the ability to connect financial results to operational drivers and business decisions.

  • Experience improving finance processes, systems, reporting and data quality within a scaling or changing organisation.

  • Confident operating directly with a CEO and leadership team, providing clear advice and constructive challenge.

  • Comfortable combining senior leadership responsibilities with hands-on ownership of the financial details.

  • Experience in a technology-enabled, manufacturing, marketplace or operationally complex business would be advantageous.

Benefits:
  • Competitive Salary: We offer pay that reflects your skills and the value you bring.

  • Stocked Kitchen: Enjoy snacks, fresh fruit, and drinks all day.

  • 23 Days Annual Leave: Recharge with 23 days off, plus bank holidays.

  • Birthday Off: Take an extra day to celebrate your birthday.

  • Pet-Friendly Office: Bring your dog to our pet-friendly workspace.
