Travelers is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team, where you will help transform financial data into meaningful insights that drive business decisions. Working closely with business partners, you will support financial reporting, forecasting and analysis while developing a strong understanding of the insurance and financial services industry.
This role is ideal for a graduate-level candidate with some experience who is eager to build a career in finance. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills are essential, and candidates will be required to complete an Excel test as part of the interview process. Knowledge of TM1, Hyperion Essbase, or similar OLAP database technologies is advantageous but not required.

Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy. This entails full time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro rata for part-time employees). This policy may be changed at the Company’s discretion.
This role is eligible for a £1500 new joiner bonus. If you are successfully referred by an employee at Travelers Europe, both you and the person who referred you could be eligible for this bonus.What Will You Do?

• Prepare, evaluate, and validate financial and operational reports. [eg Production Highlights & Flow metrics KPI reports]
• With supervision, analyse, interpret, and validate trends and variances in business performance, while interacting with cross functional peers on limited basis.
• Compile and review financial data for variance analysis and reporting of results (within Results report) against expectations. Perform moderately complex analysis.
• Assist in developing and creating overall financial/business plan, budget and forecasts for the organisation (annual, ongoing and multi-year).
• Synthesise and present exhibits, results, and observations to direct manager and team members.
• Under guidance support your financial partners in the preparation of analyses to support business strategy.
• Complete and prepare components of external financial statements and including, but not limited to US GAAP(Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Use identified tools (eg TM1, Peoplesoft GL, Business Objects) to obtain and compile data necessary to create less complex financial reports and analysis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

• Professional accounting qualification , such as ACCA, CIMA would be preferable.
• Knowledge of Financial Analysis concepts and processes, and accounting practices and principles.
• Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to pay attention to detail and effectively convey information.
• Begin to leverage analytical skills access and gather data, including a basic understanding of what the data represents.
• Time management/ prioritisation skills and ability to solve problems and make recommendations.
• Takes responsibility for decisions and actions.
• Ability to identify customers needs and take appropriate actions while working within tight timeframes and deadlines.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Financial Reporting Software (e.g., TM1, Essbase, Hyperion, etc.).

What is a Must Have?

• Some finance, accounting, financial planning, or related experience.
• Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
