Based in the UK and working closely with our Paris HQ, we’re committed to driving operational excellence, supporting bold business decisions, and helping Wakam scale sustainably across markets.

As a key member of our Finance team, you will:

• Deliver accurate and timely financial and management reporting for both our UK operations and Wakam Group.

• Ensure full compliance with regulatory and internal financial standards.

• Collaborate seamlessly with our Group Reporting team in France.

• Transform complex financial data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

• Challenge the status quo — identify risks, spot inefficiencies, and propose smarter ways of working.

• Drive continuous improvement through the optimisation of processes and internal controls.

• Support the implementation of best-in-class financial procedures.

• Present strategic recommendations and insights to management to support decision-making.

• Foster strong relationships across departments and with external partners.

• Recently qualified ACCA, ACA or equivalent, ideally with experience in the insurance industry.

• Solid grasp of UK GAAP and familiarity with MGA/Broker models.

• Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

• 3-6 years experience in cash flow management, regulatory reporting, and risk controls.

• Deep understanding of financial frameworks and compliance within insurance.

• Ability to develop, implement, and enhance accounting policies and processes.

• Strong communicator — able to translate financials into clear, digestible insights.

• A proactive mindset with a passion for solving complex problems.

• Driven, detail-oriented, and adaptable — you bring energy and accountability to your work.

This position can be based either in our London office (hybrid model) or fully remote within the United Kingdom. Please note: remote work from outside the UK is not possible for this role.

We aim to keep the process transparent, engaging, and efficient. Here’s what to expect:

1. Interview with our People team to get to know you and answer your initial questions

2. Technical interview with our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to assess your expertise and approach

3. Team interview with two Finance team members to explore collaboration and working styles

4. Final in-person meeting at our London office with our Head of People and CFO, focused on values alignment and long-term fit at Wakam
