What you will be doing:
We are looking for an ambitious and talented Financial Accountant to join our UK Finance Team. This is a great role for someone who is looking to develop their accounting skills and learn from a highly skilled and motivated team in a fast-paced SaaS Technology environment.
This role is important in our Finance team, and you will play a key part in ensuring the financial records of the Group are accurate, complete, and reliable.
As a Financial Accountant, you will get involved in:
- Month-end responsibilities such as journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Variance analysis, presenting, understanding, and explaining month-on-month changes
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register
- Involvement in the annual financial audit and tax reporting
- Producing technical papers and implementing and upholding financial accounting policies
- The implementation of new finance systems
- Collaborating with other members of the Finance team and other stakeholders
- Other ad-hoc tasks and process improvement projects
What does success look like after 3 months?
- Contributing to more accurate and timely financials
- Meeting month-end deadlines consistently
- Strong and developing stakeholder relationships with the Finance team and wider organisation
- Identifying areas for improvement and automation of current processes
About you:
We’re looking for a smart and motivated individual who takes pride in their work and contributes to an informal working environment.
As a Financial Accountant, you will have:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar fast-paced environment
- Accounting & Finance or a similar degree
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Good Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Nice to have: Xero experience
- Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
